Grounding Yourself

Why should we ground ourselves?

Grounding yourSelf is very helpful. It helps you get out of your head when in thought loops or when your thoughts just run rampant and you can’t stop them. This is particularly true for many Gemini’s (sun/moon/rising signs- astrology based) or other air signs (Aquarius, Libra). Grounding also helps when all you crave are sugary foods and or when want to keep eating and end up overeating.

It’s a simple way to bring you back down to earth and feel your feet.

Here is the visualization that has helped many but was brought to my attention by a dear friend which I use often:

“Imagine roots growing from your sacrum and the soles of your feet. Plunging down through the earth through layers of rock and magma until they burst through into a cave full of crystal stalactites. Feel the roots wrap tightly around the glittering crystals.”

Boom. Grounded.

This is also a perfect visualization at the start of any meditation.
